Her breaths are deep,
Her eyes are wide,
Her heart so open,
Her antenna so high.
She feels God in all things,
Grace abounds,
‘Is this heaven?’,
No one uttered a sound.
‘It can be’, one replied,
‘Hell no’, said another,
In the midst of the confusion,
She began to take cover.
‘You can shine here’, one proclaimed,
‘It’s a threat over there’,
A chameleon she became,
The sacred path was no where.
She struggled along,
Her antenna high then low,
She wondered what could free her,
And return her great glow.
Through lessons and great teachers,
She is reminded each day,
that it’s safe to shine,
and celebrate today.
